"Personally, the aspects of this program that made it a pleasure working here were the Lunch & Learn series, the IHDA tour/BBQ, site visits, the hybrid schedule, the summer outing, and overall, I just had such an amazing experience. I love the partnership with Fannie Mae and the mentorship program; those were great additions to the program."

"I don't think I can mention just one favorite part so I'll mention a few. I loved working in Community Affairs because it presented a challenge for me to apply what I've learned in my field of study thus far, allowing me to bridge the gap between learning and application. Everyone in the CA department provided me with wonderful insights and it has been a honor for me to work alongside these housing professionals, and collaborating with them in completing meaningful work. One of my biggest concerns going into this internship was that I would just be doing busy work without learning much of my desired profession, but my experience couldn't have been further from that."

"The time was useful for reminding me there is must to share with people who are growing professionally, and that listening to them can help push you to reflect on your own successes/advantages, and the need to share them with those who are working to build themselves up."

"My relationship with my mentor was great! They were super supportive and encouraging, and I really enjoyed meeting with her whenever it was possible. I do plan to continue the relationship with my mentor. She is a really wise, encouraging, and inspiring person that I hope to keep learning from."
