About the Survey
The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) is committed to expanding the planning capacity of small and/or rural communities in Illinois to identify local housing needs, and empowering those communities to take steps to meet their visions for development. As a part of this commitment, IHDA offers technical assistance to communities in order to build upon and link to existing efforts, identify strengths and needs within the community, and generate localized capacity via a Community Revitalization Strategy.
The first step of the Community Revitalization Strategy process engages residents in a Community Needs Assessment Survey to gather local input and expertise. If your community is currently in a partnership with IHDA’s Community Revitalization team and you would like to participate in their Community Needs Assessment Survey, please contact us at Revitalization@IHDA.org. Additionally, all residents of Illinois are welcome to share feedback about their communities with us by completing our general Community Needs Assessment Survey located below. The survey is completely anonymous, and does not collect any identifying information. You should be able to complete it in under 10 minutes. Your participation will help our agency and your community identify local needs and goals, and strategize for future planning and investment.
You can download a PDF of this survey here. If you complete a paper version of this survey, please submit the completed survey via email to Revitalization@IHDA.org
