Sponsor Eligibility

Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA)

IHDA reserves the right to deny eligibility to participate in IHDA's Multifamily Programs, the HOME Program, the Trust Fund Programs, the Preservation Program and the Tax Credit Program to sponsors who have a record of unsatisfactory prior performance in any IHDA-sponsored programs, as determined by IHDA in its sole discretion. Determinations of eligibility will be based on the sponsor's previous history of participation in IHDA-sponsored programs, both individually or through related entities, including, but not limited to, general or limited partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability corporations, or other ownership structures. Possible reasons for a determination of ineligibility include, but are not limited to:

1) a record of significant financial delinquencies or defaults on any IHDA-financed loans;

2) material instances of non-compliance with requirements of any IHDA regulatory agreements or other loan documents;

3) failure to pay any fees or expenses due to IHDA in connection with any IHDA-sponsored program;

4) material misrepresentation of facts on any application to participate in an IHDA-sponsored program;

5) any other circumstances that, in IHDA's sole discretion, would render a sponsor unfit to participate in the subject program.
